Where to Get Free Flu Shots in Half Moon Bay

The San Mateo County Health System is encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.

The San Mateo County Health System in partnership with area agencies is offering free flu shots for Coastside residents this week and in December.

Getting the flu vaccine is the best way to prevent the flu, according to the San Mateo County Health System.

The top three reasons to get a flu vaccine include:

• prevents flu related death
• prevents severe illness
• protects other people

Everyone 6 months and older is encouraged to get vaccinated. No appointment required, no ID necessary. The flu vaccine is free and no insurance is required.

Here's where to get free flu shots on the Coast:

Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Coastside Hope, 99 Avenue Alhambra, El Granada, 4 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 14 at Moonridge Housing, 2001 Miramontes Point Road, Community Room, Half Moon Bay, 4 to 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 18, RotaCare Coastside Clinic, 225 South Cabrillo Highway, Suite 100A, Half Moon Bay, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
