It's Time to Enter Ritz-Carlton's Annual Gingerbread House Contest
Entries for the 10th Annual Gingerbread House Contest and Silent Auction are due this Friday.
From candy-covered castles to edible houses, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is currently accepting entries by children, home cooks and culinary professionals for their 10th Annual Gingerbread House Contest.
All entrants are invited to donate their gingerbread house, whether it wins an award or not, to Coastside Children’s Programs for the silent auction at the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday, Dec. 8 during the Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration when contest winners will be announced.
Entry to build a house for the Annual Gingerbread House Contest must be turned in by Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. The three categories for entry include:
• any child aged 12 or younger
• anyone aged 13 and older who are not professional chefs or in culinary school
• for those working professionally in the culinary arts or currently enrolled in culinary school

Houses will be on display in the Ritz-Carlton lobby from Monday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 8.
