2012 Election: Turn Off Fox News And Do Some Research

Vote with your brains and not your hearts.

In approximately seven weeks we will be voting in one of the most crucial elections in our country's history.

I beg all of you, leave the media hype out of your decisions and THINK FOR YOURSELF! There is plenty of blame to go around on both sides, but I hope you will take the time to research things like the GAO audit of the Federal Reserve to see where trillions of dollars of our money has gone (corporate welfare) because of George Bush's huge blunders with our economy and his failed ideology.

Now Mr. Romney would like us to believe that the so-called 47 percent are to blame for our country's problems? The Republican Party has been successful in obstructing President Obama's efforts to bring our economy out of the tank. Remember John Boehner and Mitch McConnell stating that they wanted President Obama to fail? In the process they nearly drove us into another Great Depression!

Please leave your religious beliefs out of voting! There is a time and place for religion and it does not belong in government. Vote with your brains and not your hearts. As Bill Clinton said at the Democratic Convention, no president could have corrected the mistakes of the previous administration in just four years. Turn off FOX NEWS, get on your computer and do some research that doesn't have a political bias.

I usually do not laugh out loud reading the patch unless one of the wise guys says something funny. But your ignorance (reverend smith) makes me chuckle!! Keep it up Gilligan!

My point was not to discuss the merits or accuracy of 2016. My point is that making and showing 2016, or any movie for or against Obama, Romney or any political candidate, should be protected by the First Amendment. Under McCain-Feingold, it would be illegal to do so within 60 days of the election. I have debated 2016 with others on the Patch. No one has been able to identify any significant errors in the movie. Much if not most of the movie is from Obama's book. Much of the movie is Obama reading his book. If you have not seen the movie, it should be on cable soon. Before you vote for Obama again, I urge you watch it. I also urge to you listen to Steve Wynn. Please see my following post.

Steve Wynn, casino owner and developer and a Dem who voted for Obama in 2008 said on October 9: "I'm afraid of the president. I have no idea what goofy idea, what crazy, anti-business program this administration will come up. I have no idea. And I have to tell you Jon that every business guy I know in the country is frightened of Barack Obama and the way he thinks." “I've created about 250,000 direct and indirect jobs according to the state of Nevada's measurement. If the number is 250,000, that's exactly 250,000 more than this president, who I'll be damned if I want to have him lecture me about small business and jobs. I'm a job creator. Guys like me are job creators and we don't like having a bulls-eye painted on our back.” “The president is trying to put himself between me and my employees. By class warfare, by deprecating and calling a group that makes money 'billionaires and millionaires who don't pay their share.' I gave 120% of my salary and bonus away last year to charities, as I do most years. I can't stand the idea of being demagogued, that is put down by a president who has never created any jobs and who doesn't even understand how the economy works.” http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/10/09/steve_wynn_on_obama_ill_be_damned_if_ill_have_him_lecture_me.html

Teller > You are afraid. And you're not smart. Most people are not living in fear as you do, even though they probably live in places more dangerous than you do and would have much better reason to be paranoid. If you are so afraid of someone knowing your name or seeing your picture, build a "safe room," go in, and don't come out. And if you want to post in a public forum without being identified or seen, please go to the next live public forum and either be quiet, or before you make a comment, you should put a bag over your head.

@SPB Which conservative Christian principles are you afraid of being imposed on you? The protection of unborn life?? Marriage = one man and one woman? Or are you opposed to all of those silly 10 Commandments telling you how to live your life? Yea, I can see how conservative Christian principles would be a problem.
