My iPad

Exploring the joys and possibilties of my latest toy.

Last Spring I had the chance to play with some electronic devices in the hopes of becoming better able to help our library public with their eBook needs.  Shortly after playing with an iPad I took my tax refund down to the Apple Storehttp://www.apple.com/retail/hillsdale/ and bought what we now call an iPad 2.  I've been having fun ever since.  The store offers workshops to help you get more out of your purchase, but there are other resources available to help you get even more.  There are electronic resources available through our web page http://www.smcl.org/.  A couple that looked intriguing were THE IPAD PROJECT BOOK: STUFF YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR IPAD http://catalog.plsinfo.org/record=b2120074~S1 and SAM'S TEACH YOURSELF IPAD IN 10 MINUTES http://catalog.plsinfo.org/record=b2120110~S1 .  Another one that might prove useful is HOW TO MAKE MONEY MARKETING YOUR IPAD ANDIPHONE APPS http://catalog.plsinfo.org/record=b2120505~S1 .  I hate to totally neglect paper and ink so here's the link to IPAD2 FOR DUMMIES http://catalog.plsinfo.org/record=b2112411~S1.

As you might imagine there's an iPad users grouphttp://www.ipadusersgroup.com/. But for a truly unique experience stop by Foster City Library on Wednesday April 25th or Half Moon Bay Library on Thursday April 26th to enjoy a visit from the OverDrive Digital Bookmobilehttp://www.digitalbookmobile.com/. Bring your iPad or other electronic device and explore the possibilities.
