Legion Hosting Barbecue in Support of Local Vet
Don "Ogga" Smith, a coastside resident who served in the Vietnam War, is recovering from a stroke he suffered earlier this year. The event will feature live music.
A Half Moon Bay chapter of the American Legion is hosting an event this weekend in support of a popular local military veteran.
Post 474 will hold a barbecue on Sunday at 2 p.m. in support of Don "Ogga" Smith, a Coastside resident who served as a chopper pilot and gunner in the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War and is recovering from a stroke he suffered earlier this year.
The event features live music and will be followed by a 3 p.m. photo session.
