Coastside Community to Celebrate Passover in Half Moon Bay

Seder for those living from Pacifica to Pescadero takes place this Saturday.

Coastsiders who wish to celebrate the Jewish holiday Passover are invited to attend a vegetarian seder dinner in Half Moon Bay on Saturday.

Organized by the Coastside Jewish Community group comprised of individuals who live down the coast from Pacifica to Pescadero, the event to be held at the be a potluck dinner. Matzo ball soup, ceremonial foods & grape juice will be included, but the group asks attendees not to bring dishes containing meat.

To minimize waste, the group also requests that attendees bring their own plates, glasses, eating utensils and napkins. Attendees should also bring their own wine. Dishes should be labeled whether they are dairy-free, gluten-free, or nut-free.

The group is currently looking for volunteers to help set up and clean up at the seder, along with someone to operate the sound system during the event.

Those who wish to attend can register by emailing cjcseder@gmail.com.

The seder will take place from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Ted Adcock Community/Senior Center (535 Kelly) in Half Moon Bay. Suggested donations are $20 (Coastside Jewish Community group members) and $25 (nonmember) for adults, $10 for children or $50/$60 for a family (member/nonmembers). No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Payments can be sent via check to CJC, or through PayPal by clicking here.
