Seton Coastside Names Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Irwin Shelub will focus on the quality of care for patients.
Seton Medical Center and Seton Coastside has appointed Dr. Irwin Shelub, a Pulmonologist/Internal Medicine physician and 30 year member of the medical staff, as Chief Medical Officer.
In his newly created position, Dr. Shelub will work closely with the hospital and medical staff to enhance the safety, quality and efficiency of care provided to patients.
Dr. Shelub describes his objective as CMO “to assist in creating a hospital environment where Seton can thrive in a challenging future by being the best place for physicians to practice medicine and the best place for patients to receive care.”
Dr. Shelub is Board certified in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine, and has been Board certified in Critical Care. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He completed his residency at UC Davis and his Pulmonology Fellowship at the University of Colorado.
