Map: Almost a Third of Homes From Venice Blvd. to San Vincente Creek Worth $1 Million or More

The map below is a snapshot of what section of town has the most homes valued at $1 million or more.

This map shows a snapshot of how many houses cost $1 million or more across different areas of your town.

In Half Moon Bay, for example, 29.4 percent of homes from San Vincente Creek north up Highway 1 to Venice Boulevard fit in that bracket. And one for sale in Moss Beach even comes with a car!

The data are from the United States Census Bureau's 2011 American Community Survey. (Note: Census.gov was "unavailable" at the time this article was published thanks to the federal government shutdown.)  These values are an estimate for 2011 taking into account 60 months of collected data. You can learn more about the survey here.

Using your cursor, you can hover over any census tract – the geographic region defined by the U.S. Census – and see how many homes are valued at $1 million or more, as indicated in the box in the upper right hand corner of the map.
