Be My Valentine, Campbell

There are so many reasons to love the Orchard City. Why not wear your love on your sleeve, or shirt or even tote!

It's Valentine's Day today, and while everyone is doing something for that someone special, we wanted to put something together for you, our offical Valentine.

In the time that I have been working in Campbell (a little more than two years), no matter what the story is, what the event is or who I'm interviewing, one thing has been made clear: people really love Campbell.

We even put together a "Reasons to Love Campbell" list last year to showcase some of those reasons.

A few on that list include:

Reason No. 7: "I love the fact that when you meet a stranger on the street, they greet you. That’s the way a town should be." Sally Howe

Reason No. 25: "I love Campbell because I was born here, because my roots are here and because Campbell residents are so welcoming." Dan Furtado

Reason No. 33: "I love Campbell because it's a place you can give to and it gives back." Mayor Mike Kotowski

Campbell is a place that elicits a response of love and loyalty and pride, so much so that you can even buy clothing items, totes and water bottles that scream your commitment to your community.

The Campbell Community Center offers I Heart Campbell T-shirts ($15 for adults, $10 children) and water bottles ($5) in its office, room C-31 Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At Simply Smashing! in downtown Campbell, Campbell lovers can purchase T-shirts ($29.50), Henleys ($38) and totes ($18) with the image of the Campbell watertower from a photo taken by former Campbell business owner Dana Smith.

So you tell us, why do you love Campbell?
