Update: Bicyclist Killed in Accident at Highway 35

California Highway Patrol officers closed southbound Highway 35 near Woodside today for an hour following the crash.

California Highway Patrol officers reopened southbound state Highway 35 near Woodside at 3:34 p.m. today following a one-hour closure to investigate a collision that killed a bicyclist.

CHP Officer Ron Simmons said today that the collision occurred at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Skyline Drive at Elk Tree Road in Sky Londa. There a no details on the specifics of the crash.

The San Mateo County coroner was called to the scene just before 2 p.m.

A Sig-alert was issued at 2:17 p.m. All lanes have since been re-opened and the roadway is clear, Simmons said.

The San Mateo County coroner is responding to the scene of a vehicle accident that killed a bicyclist near Woodside this afternoon, California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Simmons said.

CHP officers were called just before 1:30 p.m.

Simmons said units are at the scene and have issued a Sig-alert and shutdown southbound state Highway 35 at state Highway 84 while the incident is investigated.

The exact location of the accident is at Skyline Drive at Elk Tree Road in Sky Londa.
