Black Honda Seen Near 2 Thefts in Half Moon Bay

Police are reminding residents to lock cars and homes and keep valuables hidden.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of car and residential burglaries that took place in and around Half Moon Bay on Saturday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Coast Side Patrol Bureau, the incidents occurred on July 27 between the mid afternoon and early evening along Highway 1 on the South Coast as well as in downtown Half Moon Bay.

At least one residential burglary was believed to be connected to the crime spree.

"Drivers and residents are reminded to secure their vehicles and homes and to not leave valuables unattended in the open,"  said Dan Bennett in an online alert.

Witnesses reported seeing a late 90s two-door black Honda with black rims at two of the thefts.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office at (650) 363-4800.
