BLOTTER: Dog Attacks Woman; Suspect Kicks Officer

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coast from Jan. 13 - 19.

Jan. 13

11:27 am, Route 1 and Main Street: DUI. A drunken driver collided with a stopped vehicle and was arrested after failing sobriety tests.

1:05 pm, 500 block of Purissima Street: Burglary. A home stereo system was stolen from the trunk of a vehicle after smashing a window.

Jan. 14

7:02 pm, Poplar Street and Railroad Avenue: Battery, assaulting a police officer. While attempting to enter a passerby's vehicle the suspect kicked an officer and a search identified a pill in the suspect's possession.

12:42 am, Route 1 and Wavecrest Road: DUI. Officers pulled over a moving vehicle with its high beams on and arrested the driver for operating the vehicle under the influence.

7:48 am, Lewis Foster Drive: Incident report. During an altercation between two juveniles one of them sustained a cut to their nose.

8:49 am, 600 block of Spindrift Way: Driving with a suspended license. Someone was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

10:29 pm, Main Street and Route 92: Warrant arrest. While stopping a vehicle for not yielding to a stop sign the driver was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.

Jan. 19

3:00 pm, Kelly Avenue and Jenna Way: Incident report. A woman reported to the police that she was attacked by a dog on the sidewalk while it was leashed and being walked by its owner.
