BLOTTER: Concealed 9-Inch Knife; Hitting a Driver

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coast from Jan. 27 - Feb. 3

Jan. 27

8:52 pm, Route 92: Battery. While the victim was driving he was hit, pushed, and slapped by the suspect, an estranged friend who was the passenger.  The victim was not seriously injured, though he did want to pursue battery charges against the suspect. The suspect could not be located that night.

Jan. 30

9:00 am, 1200 block of Loryn Lane and 4:33 pm, the 300 block of Chesterfield Avenue: Missing persons. Two juveniles were reported missing and later found, one at their parents' premises, and the other in the concerned party's side yard.

10:54 pm, 200 block of South Cabrillo Highway: Concealed weapon. During a traffic stop of a speeding vehicle, officers searched the stopped car and found marijuana and a knife with a blade approximately 9 inches long. The driver was arrested and booked.

Feb. 1

7:40 am, 300 block of Filbert: Petty theft. A bicycle was stolen off of the front lawn of a residence.

Feb. 2

8:33 am, Main and San Mateo: Possession of marijuana while driving. A driver was cited for being in possession of marijuana.

7:17 pm, Pilarcitos and Oak: Incident report. Suspects involved in a physical altercation fled as officers approached the scene.
