BLOTTER: Hiding Drugs on Kelly St.; Cat Cruelty

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coast from Nov. 23 - 30.

Nov. 23

11:28 am, 400 block of Coronado Street, El Granada: Petty theft. The rear license plate of a vehicle was stolen.

5:02 pm, 500 block of Eighth Street, Montara: County ordinance. A barking dog was reported while its owners were not home.

7:31 pm, South Cabrillo and Miramontes Point Road: Traffic collision. Two cars were in a collision with no injuries.

Nov. 26

12:54 am, South Cabrillo and Kelly: Public intoxication. Officers observed a man crossing the highway on a red light and was arrested for being drunk in public and having an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

3:31 pm, North Cabrillo Highway and Young: Traffic collision. Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision. 

8:15 pm, Kelly east of Main: Possession of controlled substance. Officers pulled over a vehicle drifting over double yellow lines and found the driver attempting to hide cocaine while covered in marijuana leaf and bud. While they found the cocaine they also found a ziploc bag of marijuana and were taken to county jail.

10:10 am, 600 block of Highland: Cruelty to animals. A cat was reported shot in the leg by a pellet gun and was taken to the vet for further evaluation.

Nov. 28

12:01 am, Golden Gate and Terrace: Misdemeanor warrant. Officers arrested a driver with a car having no license plate, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

1:25 pm, 300 block of Saint James: Theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.

Nov. 29

1:32 pm, 500 block of Dolores Avenue: Identity theft. Identity theft was reported to officers.

5:51 pm, Route 1 and Spindrift Way: Traffic collision. A traffic collision sustained minor injuries at this location.
