BLOTTER: Three Days of Drunken Yelling; Juvenile Possession

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coast from Jan. 20 - 26.

1:31 am, 1-100 block of Stone Pine Road: Possession of a controlled substance. While responding to a noise complaint from a bar, a suspect was seen running from the inspecting officers and later caught and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

3:15 am, 600 block of El Granada Boulevard, El Granada: Public intoxication. Officers went to arrest a drunken man yelling and pounding on the door of a bar looking for someone to drive him home after being left there by his roommate.

9:30 am, 1-100 block of Stone Pine Road: Grand theft. A woman's purse was stolen from a restaurant and upon reporting the theft to her bank she discovered there were fraudulent charges made with her card.

8:00 pm, Route 1 and Grove Street: DUI. After stopping a vehicle for having an expired registration, officers discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Jan. 22

5:56 pm, 300 block of North Cabrillo Highway: Public intoxication. An intoxicated man was arrested after yelling at an employee at a gas station.

6:07 pm, Johnson Pier, Princeton: Warrant arrest. While checking out a disturbance officers arrested a man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Jan. 23

1:13 pm, 1200 block of North Cabrillo Highway: Vandalism. The owner of a vehicle discovered his car had been scratched with a sharp object. 

6:54 pm, 200 block of Capistrano, Princeton: Public intoxication. A man was arrested at Barbara's Fish Trap for yelling at other patrons while being drunk.

Jan. 24

7:40 am, Route 1 and Coronado Street: Traffic collision. Injuries were caused during a traffic collision.

10:48 am, 500 block of Terrace Avenue: Burglary. Burglary in the first degree was reported.

3:12 pm, Route 1 and Venice Boulevard: Recovered vehicle. A vehicle was recovered.

Jan. 25

Time Unknown, 400 block of Spruce Street: Identity theft. A woman reported that someone was using her social security number to apply for employment at an unknown company.

Jan. 26

1:00 am, 0-100 block of North Cabrillo Highway: Incident report. A man was suspected of stealing something from a store.

3:40 pm, Filbert Street and Main Street: Resisting a police officer, possession of marijuana. While investigating a disturbance, officers arrested a juvenile in possession of marijuana and later released him to his parents.
