Friday, Aug. 9
2:23 a.m. - Cabrillo Hwy at Etheldore, Moss Beach - DUI - Deputy on patrol observed a vehicle failed to yield to another emergency vehicle, and then make a quick turn without signaling. The Deputy performed traffic stop and found the driver appeared to be intoxicated. CHP arrived on scene to complete the DUI investigation.
3:39 p.m. - Oak at Pilarcitos, Half Moon Bay - Possession metal knuckles/Carry switchblade - Deputy responded to report of two subjects possibly using narcotics, and made contact with the two males. The subjects were not found in possession of any illegal narcotics. One of the subjects was found to be carrying a switchblade and metal knuckles. The items were taken as evidence and the case will be forwarded to the DA for prosecution.
Saturday, Aug. 10
3:30 a.m. - 1400 block of S. Cabrillo Hwy, Half Moon Bay - Possession deceptive government ID/ Public intoxication - Deputies responded to report of suspicious vehicle parked along the highway and contacted two intoxicated subjects from Pescadero “passed out” inside. One subject was found to be in possession of a false social security card. Both were determined to be too intoxicated to care for themselves and were arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
9 a.m. - 0-100 block of Miramontes Pt. Rd., Half Moon Bay - Appropriate lost property - Deputy dispatched to report of lost or stolen iPhone that was tracked to a location in HMB, however Deputies were not able to locate the phone.
12 p.m. - 100 block of San Mateo Rd., Half Moon Bay - Drive with suspended license – A 28 year old driver was cited for driving with suspended license.
7:06 p.m. - 6th St at Main, Montara - Public intoxication - Deputy dispatched to report of intoxicated 56 year old male walking down middle of street, and made contact with the subject. The transient was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself, and was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
7:30 p.m. - 1500 block of N. Cabrillo, Half Moon Bay - Traffic collision - Traffic collision-property damage only.
9:30 p.m. - Miramontes Pt Rd., Half Moon Bay - Under age 21/DUI/ Drive with suspended license/ Hit and run-non injury - Deputy responded to report of hit and run non-injury collision, when witnesses advised a driver had struck several parked vehicles and fled the area on foot. Deputies were able to determine the identity of the 19-year-old driver and made contact with him at his residence. He was determined to have been driving under the influence and with a suspended license, and was arrested and transported to First Chance.
Sunday, Aug. 11
9 a.m. - 300 block of San Pedro El Granada - Residential burglary - Deputy took report of residential burglary, when unknown suspect(s) entered a home and took currency, a laptop, an iPad, and personal checks.
4:30 p.m. - 8400 block of Cabrillo Hwy., Montara - Commercial burglary - Deputy took report of commercial burglary, when unknown suspect(s) took $150 from the cash drawer of a business.
6:02 p.m. - 200 block of San Mateo Rd., Half Moon Bay – DUI - Deputy dispatched to report of intoxicated subject who had been seen leaving a restaurant and drive away. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped, and the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to First Chance.
7:56 p.m. - 500 block of 8th St., Montara - Misdemeanor warrant - Deputy made contact with 53-year-old male from Montara wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. He subject was arrested and transported to SM County Jail.
10:54 p.m. - 100 block of Beach, Moss Beach - Misdemeanor warrant - Deputy made contact with two subjects sleeping in a car, and found one of them, a 35-year-old woman, to be wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of Los Angeles County. She was cited and released on her promise to appear in court.
11:30 p.m. - Johnson Pier – Trespass/ Public intoxication - Deputies dispatched to report of subject that had been evicted from the harbor, and had returned and was intoxicated. The 65-year-old man from unincorporated San Mateo County was arrested for trespassing and public intoxication and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
Monday, Aug. 12
8:09 p.m. - 100 block of 14th St., Montara - Under influence controlled substance - Deputy responded to report of stranded motorist whose vehicle had rolled off the roadway into shrubbery, where it became stuck. The 35-year-old driver was still in the vehicle, which was a mere 4 to 5 feet from a sheer cliff. The driver safely exited the vehicle, and upon contact with the Deputy appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and admitted to having used a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
