BLOTTER: Scissor-Stabbing Girlfriend, Drunk Driver Run Off Road

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coastside from June 18-25.

June 18

1:05 am, Marine Boulevard, Moss Beach: DUI. After finishing a traffic stop, officers noticed a woman stagger out of her car, approach them and ask for change. Smelling the odor of alcohol on her breath, the officers advised her not to drive the vehicle. Later on, officers spotted the same vehicle driven by the same intoxicated female. After failing sobriety tests, she was arrested and taken to county jail.

5:20 pm, Pigeon Point Road, Pescadero: Auto burglary. A cell phone, two credit cards, a purse, and $60.00 was taken from a vehicle after the windows had been smashed.

June 19

4:50 pm, Laguna Drive and Redwood Drive, La Honda: DUI. Officers were contacted about a vehicle being operated erratically and was run off the road. The car was parked in front of a local bar and the driver was found at the bar drinking. After admitting to driving under the influence he was arrested and taken to county jail.

7:28 pm, Devil's Slide Area: Public intoxication. A disturbance between a man and a woman was reported and the male was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and taken to county jail.

June 20

3:01 am, 300 block of Valencia Avenue, El Granada: Incident report. While asleep, a couple was woken by someone entering their home. The unknown person was scared by the couple and fled the residence.

8:13 pm, Avenue Balboa and Columbus Street, El Granada: Incident report. Officers were told about a neighbor who chased another neighbor's son and was yelling at him, accusing him and his friends of making prank calls to his residence.

11:06 pm, North Cabrillo Highway and Main Street: DUI. A driver involved in a traffic collision appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing sobriety tests the driver was arrested and transported to county jail.

June 25

11:23 am, 100 block of Poplar: Vandalism. A parking ticket dispenser was found vandalized.

2:24 pm, 500 block of Coronado Street, El Granada: Assault. While fighting, a girlfriend stabbed her boyfriend twice in the right arm and once in the back with a pair of scissors. She was transported to county jail and he was taken to the hospital.

5:39 pm, 300 block of Central: Vandalism. Gang-related graffiti was found sprayed on a residential fence.

6:08 pm, 0-100 block of Creekside: Incident report. An officer went to meet with a citizen regarding advice in a civil matter.
