BLOTTER: Stolen Alcohol, Tobacco; Intoxicated Woman Lying on the Sidewalk

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coast from May 22-28.

May 22

1:37 pm, 200 block of S. Cabrillo Hwy.: Public intoxication. Man causing a disturbance in the lobby of a business was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail, where he was to be released from custody when sober.

7:12 pm, S. Cabrillo Hwy @ Kelly Avenue: Public intoxication. Female lying on the sidewalk was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail, where she was to be released from custody when sober.

May 23

12:01 am, 100 block of N. Cabrillo Hwy.: Public intoxication. A man sleeping against a wall near the entrance to a store was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.

May 24

May 25

2:02 am, 1400 block of S. Cabrillo Hwy.: DUI. Officers arrested a drunken driver.

12:45 pm, 100 block of San Mateo Rd.: Grand theft. Driver with a lighting violation was pulled over. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and transported to First Chance. Deputy took report of theft from vehicle, when unknown suspect(s) took approximately $930 worth of tobacco products from an unlocked vehicle.

7:05 pm, 2900 block of S. Cabrillo Hwy.: Vehicle tow. Expired registration.

9:16 pm, Church @ Miramontes St.: DUI. Officers arrested a drunken driver.

May 26

12:01 am, 100 block of N. Cabrillo Hwy.: Burglary second degree. Conspiracy. Participate criminal street gang. Public intoxication. Deputies responded to a report of subject that had just stolen alcohol from inside a store and was leaving by vehicle. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the driver, suspect No. 1 and a passenger, suspect No. 2 were arrested for burglary, conspiracy and gang crimes. Three passengers were arrested for public intoxication. All five were transported to San Mateo County Jail.

10:52 am, S. Cabrillo & Kelly: Traffic collision. Officers responded to a minor injury traffic collision.

8:14 pm, 200 block of Vermont Ave., Montara: DUI. Officers arrested a drunken driver.

May 27

12:35 am, S. Cabrillo Hwy @ Kelly: DUI. Officers arrested a drunken driver.

8:56 pm, 300 block of Capistrano Rd., Princeton: Incident report. Business reported finding blood on the ground of their parking lot. Deputies contacted the closest hospital that reported two subjects had just been treated for injuries to their noses. Both subjects advised having been in an altercation but refused to provide any details, nor did they wish to file criminal charges.

10:26 pm, Pilacritos @ Cypress: Vandalism. Deputies dispatched to report of vandalism to a vehicle, when the victim reported a subject dressed in black walked by his vehicle and hit the passenger side mirror, causing it to break. The damage was estimated at approximately $200-$300.

May 28

3:41 am, SR1 @ Kelly: DUI. Officers arrested a drunken driver. Deputy performed traffic stop on vehicle for speeding, and found the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to First Chance.

12:08 pm, Main Street @ Miramontes: Public intoxication. Deputy responded to report of woman asking for money and bleeding from a hand injury. The woman was determined to be too intoxicated to care for herself and was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail, where she was released from custody.

5:08 pm, Poplar Beach: Incident report. Deputy dispatched to report of dog bite when the victim approached a leashed and tethered dog to pet it and the dog bit the woman on the hand.
