Friday, Sept. 6
6:56 p.m. - Oak Ave at Pilarcitos, Half Moon Bay - Resist or obstruct peace officer/Public intoxication/Litter on public or private property - Deputies dispatched to report of a group of males drinking in the park, and looking at people with binoculars. Upon arrival the group fled on foot, one subject throwing a beer bottle into the creek area. The subject initially failed to stop running when ordered, but eventually stopped. He was uncooperative and appeared to be intoxicated. Another subject detained was also uncooperative and appeared to be too intoxicated to care for himself. Both were arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
9:45 p.m. - 0-100 block of Canada Cove, Half Moon Bay – Battery - Deputy dispatched to report of battery when two men were involved in an altercation. The reporting party advised he picked up a lawn chair during the argument, and states the other party hit him on the arm with the chair when disarming him of the chair. The case will be forwarded to the DA for review.
Saturday, Sept. 7
12:39 a.m. - Airport at Harvard, Princeton - Public intoxication - Deputy on patrol observed subject staggering as he walked. The Deputy made contact and determined the 47-year-old man from Montara to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail, to be released when sober.
6:20 a.m. - 0-100 block of Iris Lane, Un- incorporated - Possession controlled substance for sale/Public intoxication - Deputies dispatched to report of “subject down” and made contact with a 17-year-old male from Half Moon Bay who appeared to be intoxicated and was lying on the sidewalk. The juvenile was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested. He was found in possession of a small plastic baggie with 3 smaller baggies inside, each containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and a large amount of cash. The juvenile was transported to SM County Hospital for medical clearance, then on to the Youth Services Center.
4:54 p.m. - 0-100 block of N. Cabrillo, Half Moon Bay - Warrant arrest - Deputy made contact with a 52-year-old transient wanted on a warrant. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.
9:09 p.m. - 500 block of Carmel, El Granada - Sell/Transport marijuana - Deputies dispatched to report of a subject yelling profanities for approximately one hour, and made contact with two subjects sitting in a vehicle with no license plate, in a residential neighborhood. The strong odor of marijuana emitted from the vehicle, and large bag of marijuana was located in the trunk, along with a scale. The driver was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
Sunday, Sept. 8
12:45 a.m. - N. Cabrillo at Grand, Half Moon Bay – DUI - Deputy on patrol observed vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, and performed traffic stop. The 27-year-old driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
6 a.m. - 0-100 block of Jenna, Half Moon Bay – Theft - Deputy took report of the theft of pumpkins from a trailer in a residential driveway.
5:57 p.m. - 100 block of California, Princeton - Recovered stolen vehicle/Personate: make other liable/ Failure to register Felony Warrant/Under influence controlled substance - Deputies dispatched to report of two trespassers, and made contact with a male and female matching the description, and determined that the vehicle in their possession was stolen. The two were detained, and the female was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested. The male suspect gave a false first name, but eventually his true identity was determined and he was found to be wanted on a felony warrant. He admitted to giving a false name because he knew he had a warrant. He was arrested on several charges, including failure to register as a sex offender, and both were transported to San Mateo County Jail.
9 p.m. - Johnson Pier, Princeton - Public intoxication - Deputy dispatched to report of intoxicated subject refusing to leave a bar. The bartender advised the subject was intimidating other patrons, was using profanity, racial slurs, and being verbally aggressive. The 28-year-old male from San Bruno was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
