BLOTTER: Wife-Threatening Husband; Nose-Nipping Dog

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police log for Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated San Mateo County Coastside from July 12-19.

July 12

2:28 am, 0-100 block of North Cabrillo Highway: Violation of court order. An elderly woman was found in a car with a middle-aged man, who had a restraining order put against him from seeing her. He was arrested and taken to county jail.

12:46 pm, 700 block of North Street, Pescadero: Incident report. A citizen reported two dogs that attacked his dog and bit the owner's nose. He had his dog treated and then went to the hospital to have himself treated.

1:13 pm, Pedestrian Trail at Route 92: Possession controlled substance. A man who was on probation was found with methamphetamines. He was arrested and taken to county jail.

6:30 pm, 300 block of Main Street: Misdemeanor warrant. Someone with a misdemeanor warrant was arrested and taken to county jail.

July 13

11:25 am, 300 block of Main Street: Larceny. Both the front and rear license plates were taken from a parked vehicle.

6:51 pm, 400 block of Fairway Drive: Threats. An ex-employee who had just been fired was threatening his former supervisor.

July 14

12:15 am, Miramontes Point Road East of Route 1: DUI. The passenger of a vehicle threw an object out the window. The car was stopped and the driver was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested.

8:30 am, 200 block of San Mateo Road: Vandalism. Gang-related graffiti was found on a sound wall along route 92.

6:09 pm, Route 1 and Terrace: Possession of a controlled substance. When an officer contacted a man known to be on probation, the man attempted to throw several white tablets on the ground, which were determined to be an unprescribed narcotic prescription. He was placed on probation hold and taken to county jail.

7:35 pm, Main and Lewis Foster Drive: No mudguards, unlicensed driver, no proof of insurance. An officer stopped a vehicle with tires extended beyond the fender wells and no mudflaps. The driver was cited for driving without a license, proof of insurance, and no mud guards.

July 15

12:30 pm, Miramontes Point Road: Auto burglary. Cash was removed from a wallet inside a locked vehicle.

12:53 pm, 0-100 block of Miramontes Point Road: Burglary. A wallet containing $200 was stolen from a locked vehicle.

2:42 pm, 0-100 block of Stone Pine: Traffic collision. Property was damaged during a traffic collision.

6:09 pm, Cabrillo Highway and Terrace Avenue: Drugs. A man was found in possession of drugs and therefore in violation of his parole. He was arrested and taken to county jail.

7:20 pm, 100 block of Harvard Avenue: Theft. A gift card was stolen from the mail and was used at two different Target store locations.

10:17 pm, 100 block of Avenue Portola, El Granada: Warrant arrest. A man was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken to county jail.

July 16

1:12 pm, 100 block of San Mateo Road: Hit and run. A driver hit a parked vehicle causing damage to a front bumper.

July 17

10:32 am, Northbound Route 1 South of Fairway: Tinted windows, suspended license. A driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and tinted windows.

7:15 pm, 300 block of Washington: Found property. Property was found.

July 18

12:01 am, 500 block of San Benito Street: Vandalism. Someone hit a man's vehicle by throwing an unknown object causing damage to the side mirror.

1:10 am, 0-100 block of North Cabrillo Highway: Burglary. Beer was stolen from a retail store.

2:39 am, 700 block of El Granada Boulevard: Warrant arrest. While checking out a party with several teenagers and young adults involving alcoholic beverages, officers found one juvenile to be intoxicated. The juvenile had been missing for 3 weeks and had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken to Hillcrest, along with another juvenile who was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

5:55 am, 400 block of Pine: Misdemeanor warrant. While responding to a family disturbance officers found one of them to be wanted on a warrant out of San Bernardino. 

8:30 am, 0-100 block of Sailfish: Misdemeanor warrant. Officers found a parked vehicle belonging to a person with two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The person was arrested and taken to county jail.

8:43 am, 300 block of Correas: Grand theft. Tools were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

July 19

3:23 am, 400 block of Pine: Drunk in public. During a family argument one subject was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and taken to county jail.

1:23 pm, 100 block of Columbus Street, El Granada: Threats. A husband grabbed a knife and threatened to kill his wife during an argument. He was arrested and taken to jail.
