BREAKING: Identity of Man Who Drove Over Highway 1 Cliff On Saturday Released by Authorities

The information was released by the San Mateo Co. Sheriff's Office at 4:17 p.m.

The man who in Pescadero on Saturday has been identified as  Joseph Pearlman, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. The California Highway Patrol's Office yesterday released information that Pearlman is a 65-year-old man from Sunnyvale.

The Sheriff's Office confirmed that Pearlman is still at Stanford Hospital receiving treatment. Stanford Hospital could not be reached for immediate comment on Pearlman's condition at the time of publication, but Art Montiel, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, reported that as of last night, Pearlman was in critical condition.
