Friday, Dec. 6
9 a.m. - 500 block of Myrtle, Half Moon Bay - Residential burglary - Deputy took report of residential burglary, when homeowners discovered numerous jewelry items were missing from their home. The victims were unsure when the items had been taken. The loss was estimated at approximately $15,000.
10 a.m. - 3rd at Filbert Street, Half Moon Bay - Drive with suspended license - A 19 year old driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.
5:20 p.m. - 0-100 block of N. Cabrillo, Half Moon Bay - Suspicious circumstance - Deputy dispatched to report of possible theft, when a store employee reported unknown subjects removed $900 worth of items from the shelf of the store, and place them in their basket. There were no witnesses that saw the subjects leave the store with the items, and a report was taken to document the incident.
300 block of Granelli, Half Moon Bay - Information report - Deputy took report of fraudulent charges to a bank account, when unknown suspect(s) made two charges on the victim’s credit card account, at a retail store in another state. The appropriate law enforcement agency was contacted and took over the investigation.
8:14 p.m. - 1300 block of Cedar St., Montara - Vandalism - Deputy took report of vandalism, when the reporting party advised a subject known to them kicked their front door, causing approximately $200 in damage. The case will be forwarded to the DA for review.
Saturday, Dec. 7
8:08 a.m. - N. Cabrillo at Capistrano, El Granada - DUI Turnover - Deputy on patrol observed vehicle with tinted window violation, and performed traffic stop. The driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. CHP arrived on scene to complete the DUI investigation and subsequent arrest.
12:15 p.m. - Avenue Alhambra at Palma, El Granada - Drive with suspended license - 29 year old driver cited for driving with a suspended license.
1:15 p.m. - Johnson Pier, Princeton - Felony warrant - Deputies made contact with a 32 year old male from unincorporated San Mato County wanted on a felony warrant out of San Mateo County. He was arrested and transported to SM County Jail without incident.
4:15 p.m. - S. Cabrillo at Poplar, Half Moon Bay - Traffic collision - Deputies dispatched to report of vehicle vs. bicycle collision. The bicyclist was treated by paramedics and transported to a hospital for medical care.
5:31 p.m. - 0-100 block of Miramontes Pt. Rd. - Public intoxication - Deputy dispatched to report of intoxicated golfer, 45, who had damaged a golf cart and fled from hotel security on foot. The man was located and was arrested for public intoxication and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
8:45 p.m. - Cabrillo at Martin’s Beach Rd., Unincorporated - Drive with suspended license - 34 year old driver from Half Moon Bay cited for driving with a suspended license.
Sunday, Dec. 8
7:30 p.m. - 300 block of Main St, Half Moon Bay - Felony warrant - Deputies responded to report of suspicious person and contacted a known transient in the stairwell of a commercial building. The 47 year old subject was found to be wanted on two felony warrants out of El Dorado County. He was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.
9:20 p.m. - 0-100 block of Sears Ranch Rd., La Honda - Public intoxication - Deputies dispatched to report of domestic disturbance between a male and female, and determined that the male party, a 44 year old from La Honda, was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail, to be released when sober.
Monday, Dec. 9
9:35 a.m. - 1100 block of Loryn Ln., Half Moon Bay - Fraud - Deputy dispatched to report of the fraudulent use of a cell phone, when the victim reported a juvenile known to him took his cell phone and incurred over $7,300 in charges, by placing international calls over a month’s period of time. The juvenile admitted to the crime and the case will be forwarded to the DA for prosecution.
1:25 p.m. - 400 block of Belleville, Half Moon Bay - Domestic assault - Deputies dispatched to 911 hang up call, and contacted a man and woman involved in a domestic dispute that turned physical. The female stated her fiancé punched her in the eye during an argument and the male reported the female struck him twice. Both parties sustained minor injuries. The male, 42, was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested and transported to SM County Jail.
6:55 p.m. - Cabrillo Hwy at Fourteenth, Montara - Coroner’s case - Deputies responded to a welfare check of a person sitting on a guard rail in the vicinity of Cabrillo Highway and California Street in Moss Beach at 6:26 p.m. At approximately 6:55 p.m., Deputies were diverted to the area of Fourteenth Street and Cabrillo Highway to assist CalFire who was with a 52 year old male from San Francisco, on the side of the road, that they determined was deceased. There were no obvious signs of foul play and the Coroners Office was called to respond to the scene. The cause of death is under investigation.
