Documentary Film About San Bruno Explosion to Be Screened Thursday

The film "Trial By Fire" will be shown in the San Mateo County History Museum.

A documentary film about the deadly gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno two years ago will be shown at the San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City on Thursday night.

The 30-minute film, titled "Trial By Fire," features footage of the Sept. 9, 2010, disaster and interviews with victims, first-responders, and city leaders.

San Bruno Mayor Jim Ruane and City Manager Connie Jackson will be on hand to answer questions from the audience after the viewing.

The film is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and will be introduced by its director, Jon Rubin. Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

The San Mateo County History Museum is in the old county courthouse at 2200 Broadway St.
