Eight Norteños Arrested After 7-Month Investigation
Gang members suspected of conspiracy, drug sales and weapons-related charges nabbed in Redwood City and Hayward.
Eight suspected members of the Norteños street gang were arrested in Redwood City and Hayward last week after a seven-month investigation, police confirmed today.
The investigation, which culminated in the serving of several search warrants on Friday morning, resulted in the arrests of the suspected gang members for conspiracy, drug sales and weapons-related charges, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
Those arrested were Oscar Yslas Portillo, 26, Orlando Molina, 24, Johnny Plaza, 23, Brayan Rodriguez, 18, and Rosalio Pimentel, all of Redwood City; Armando Portillo, 28, of Hayward; and Vicente Navarro, 19 and Gabriel Montalvo, 29, of San Mateo County.

Redwood City Police Chief J.R. Gamez called the multi-agency sting a "well-planned and collaborative investigation."
