Update: Pedestrian Killed in Crash on El Camino Real at Highway 92 in San Mateo

California Highway Patrol has closed the off-ramps in both directions of Highway 92 due to the crash.

Update: Monday 9:30 a.m.

San Mateo police say they have located the second car, a white Buick, that was thought to be involved in a pedestrian fatality Monday morning on El Camino Real at Hwy. 92. 

Earlier today investigators were looking for that second car,  that
was last seen heading south on El Camino Real. Police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation. The incident occurred at about 6:15 a.m.
El Camino Real and Hwy. 92 ramps have been reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A pedestrian was killed Monday morning in crash involving at least one vehicle in San Mateo on El Camino Real near state Highway 92, according to a release by the San Mateo Police Department. Police are searching for a second vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash.

El Camino Real is shut down at 20th Avenue and the California Highway Patrol has closed the off-ramps in both directions of Highway 92 due to the crash, which happened at about 6:20 this morning.

Although police have confirmed the pedestrian fatality, further information about the victim was not immediately available.

Police say that one of the involved vehicles in this incident remained on the scene. SMPD is looking for a second involved vehicle - a white Buick - last seen southbound on El Camino Real from SR92.
