Man taken into custody on suspicion of felony assault that put victim in a coma.

A Half Moon Bay man has been arrested in connection with an incident that put a fellow Gaelic football player into a coma in June, San Francisco police said Friday.

Patrick Power, 26, was arrested Thursday morning during a search of his home for evidence, according to San Francisco police Lt. Troy Dangerfield. He was taken into custody on suspicion of felony assault, and remained in custody as of Friday morning.

Power was arrested in connection with a June 25 incident in which fellow Gaelic football player Mark McGovern, an Irish player visiting the United States, suffered injuries during a game that put him into a coma.
