Highway 1 Crash Victim Identified
The cause of the deadly wreck remains under investigation by the CHP.
A 23-year-old man who was killed in a crash on Highway 1 Saturday has been identified as Sanjeev Joshi, of Visalia, according to the San Mateo County coroner's office.
The deadly collision occurred just south of the Devil's Slide Tunnels at 3:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Joshi was pronounced dead at the scene and Highway 1 was closed in both directions for about five hours, the CHP said.
Preliminary information indicates the crash only involved one vehicle, according to the CHP. The cause remains under investigation by the CHP.
