UPDATE: Highway One Accident Causes Power Outage
The fallen electrical wire prompted the closure of the roadway in both directions for about 45 minutes this morning.
UPDATE 10:10 a.m.:
About 56 customers in southern Half Moon Bay were without power as of 8 a.m., according to PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris.
A vehicle struck a utility pole near Filbert Avenue at about 6:45 a.m., causing a live electrical wire to come down onto the roadway.

No injuries were reported, CHP Officer Marc Johnston said.

PG&E crews were at the scene as of 7:30 a.m., Morris said.
PG&E expected to have power fully restored by 11 a.m.
UPDATE 8:02 a.m.:
Highway One is now reopened in both directions between Kelly and Filbert avenues in Half Moon Bay.
Both lanes were closed this morning due to a traffic accident.

The nature of the accident is unknown yet.
