Man Exposes Himself Outside an Office, Excavator Valued at $20K Stolen

Here's what went down in Half Moon Bay over the weekend.

Thursday, Oct. 24

10/1-10/24 - 800 Block of Frenchman’s Creek Rd Unincorporated - Grand theft -Deputy took report of the theft of construction equipment, including an excavator valued at approximately $20,000.

2:11 p.m. - 200 block of S. Cabrillo Hwy., Half Moon Bay - Assault with deadly weapon - Deputies were contacted by a victim who reported a co-worker attempted to injure him with a knife the previous evening. The victim reported he and the suspect, a 37 year old from the Coast, had gotten into an argument and during the confrontation the suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and jumped towards him making a slashing motion. The suspect was contacted and admitted to pulling the knife, and claimed his intentions were to scare the victim, not to hurt him. The suspect was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.

Friday, Oct. 25

8:06 p.m. - California at Yale, Princeton - Unlicensed driver - A 35 year old driver from Moss Beach was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving without a license, and vehicle subsequently towed.

8:51 p.m. - N. Cabrillo Hwy at Grand Blvd., Half Moon Bay - Drive with suspended license - A 26 year old driver from El Granada was cited for driving with a suspended license.

9:58 p.m. - Main at Mill streets, Half Moon Bay - Possession marijuana while driving - Driver cited for infraction violation, possession of marijuana while driving.

Saturday, Oct. 26

12:54 a.m. - N. Cabrillo at Roosevelt, Half Moon Bay - Failure to appear - Deputy made contact with subject pushing a motorcycle, after running out of gas. The subject was found to be wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of Redondo Beach, and was cited and released at the request of Redondo Beach Police Department.

3 p.m. - N. Cabrillo at Coronado, El Granada - Misdemeanor warrant - Deputy performed traffic stop on vehicle for registration and seatbelt violations, and found a female passenger to be wanted on a warrant out of Livermore, and two warrants out of Alameda County. The 28 year old was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.

Sunday, Oct. 27

6:55 a.m. - 9800 block of Cabrillo Hwy., Moss Beach - Vandalism - Deputy dispatched to report of unconscious subject in a large garbage bag to the rear of a business. The man woke upon contact and had apparently been drinking. The rear door to the business had cracked glass and a pot with soil in it had been broken on the ground. The business owner wished to seek prosecution, and the case will be forwarded to the DA for review on charges of vandalism.

7:38 p.m. - 11:56 a.m. - 15000 block of Skyline Blvd Unincorporated - Misdemeanor warrant - Deputies dispatched to assist Rangers who had a 19 year old subject detained for a warrant out of San Luis Obispo County. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.

11:27 p.m. - Johnson Pier Princeton - Possession controlled substance/Under influence controlled substance/Controlled substance paraphernalia - Deputy on patrol contacted a subject who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe, and was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.

Monday, Oct. 28

7:55 p.m. - 800 block of Airport, Moss Beach - Indecent exposure - Deputies dispatched to report of male subject exposing himself outside of an office. The man fled the scene after he was noticed by one of the employees. Deputies searched the area, but the subject was not located.
