Moss Beach Attempted Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

The suspect appeared in San Mateo County Felony Court on Wednesday.

David John Vanalstine, the Moss Beach man charged with for an on December 2 where he allegedly lacerated his roommate's neck with a knife at the Pillar Ridge Estates, pleaded not guilty in San Mateo County felony court yesterday afternoon.

According to the San Mateo County District Attorney's office, Vanalstine is next scheduled to appear in court on the morning of March 9 for a preliminary hearing. He is being represented by defense attorney Frank Bell.

Vanalstine is currently in custody at the county jail in Redwood City, and is not allowed to post bail.
