Moss Beach Resident Commits Suicide Before Eviction

A sheriff's deputy witnessed the shooting that took place this afternoon.

A Moss Beach tenant that was about to be served with an eviction committed suicide today, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office reported.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., sheriff's deputies arrived at 131 Sea Bright Court to enforce an eviction with the tenant living on the property. When the tenant did not answer the door, the deputies entered with the help of a locksmith, the Sheriff's Office reported. Upon entry, one deputy witnessed the tenant shooting himself. 

The Sheriff's Office has not identified the deceased at this time.
