Police: Half Moon Bay Man Seen Slamming Woman's Head Into Windshield While Driving

Deputies received a call from a passerby that a man was slamming a woman's head into the windshield while driving the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

A Half Moon Bay man was arrested on charges of domestic violence Tuesday after he was allegedly seen slamming a woman's head into a windshield while two young children were inside the vehicle, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's office, coastal division.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. Monday on North Cabrillo Highway at San Mateo Road in Half Moon Bay. Deputies received a call from a passerby that a man was slamming a woman's head into the windshield while driving the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

When deputies pulled over the vehicle, the victim in the front seat said she was not in pain and had no visible injuries.

The children in the back seat, however, confirmed the reporting party's account of alleged domestic violence, according to the sheriff's office.

The man in the driver's seat, Jovan Edgar Perez-Serrano, 21, was arrested and transported to the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of spousal abuse and child endangerment, according to the sheriff's office.
