Police Blotter - Feb. 21- March 2, 2011

Drugs, Vandalism, Theft, Felony warrant, Disturbance, Registrant, Probation violation, Unlicensed driver, Driving with suspended license, Prior DUI, Hit and run.

Feb. 21 – Feb. 28

8:24 a.m., Butano Cut Off, Pescadero: Vandalism. Between Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, someone entered an unlocked door to a modular classroom at Pescadero High School, located at 350 Butano Cut Off in Pescadero. Once inside, the suspect(s) vandalized three cabinet doors and ceiling tiles. The suspect(s) also wrote gang graffiti on two dry erase boards in the classroom. No suspects have been identified, and nothing was stolen.

10:30 a.m., HMBPD: Misdemeanor warrant. A man came to police headquarters  to surrender on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.

10:30 a.m., 0-100 block of Sailfish: Disturbance. Officers were dispatched to a landlord/tenant dispute. Both parties were advised to seek civil remedy.

11:23 a.m., Third at Grove: Felony warrant. Officers contacted a suspicious person who, when contacted,  gave police false names. The subject was confirmed to have a felony warrant and was arrested and transported to county jail.

4:45 p.m., HMBPD: Registrant.  A citizen registered as a sex offender.

Feb. 25

8:32 p.m., 600 block of Miramontes Avenue: Probation violation, Unlicensed driver. A juvenile was arrested for probation violation and driving without a license. He was released to a parent.

Feb. 26

1:58 a.m., 100 block of San Mateo Road: DUI, Red light violation. Officers on patrol performed a traffic stop after observing a speeding vehicle run a red light and. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.

1:33 p.m., Southbound Highway 1 Seymour Street: Driving with suspended license; prior DUI. A driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Feb. 27

10 a.m., Cabrillo Highway and Young Avenue: Drugs. A male suspect was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay. He was arrested for violations of - Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell. The suspect was taken to county jail.

 

Unknown time, 400 block of San Benito: Information report. Officers took a report from a citizen who stated her ex-boyfriend left rude messages on her voicemail. She wanted the incident documented.

 

Feb. 28

 

8:53 a.m., Etheldore Street, Moss Beach: Theft. The victim of a theft told deputies that an unknown subject had stolen her horse trailer from the ranch where she boards her horses. She did not give anyone permission to use the trailer. The trailer was entered into the stolen vehicle system.

 

4:48 p.m., 500 block of Virginia: Misdemeanor warrant. Officers contacted a resident at home and arrested her on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. She was cited and released on her promise to appear in court.

 

Unknown time, 800 block of Main: Vandalism. Officers took a report of spray painted graffiti on a wooden fence.

 

Unknown time, HMBPD: Misdemeanor warrant. A woman at police headquarters surrendered on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. She was cited and released on her promise to appear in court.

 

 

March 1

 

5:16 p.m., Yale Avenue, Princeton:  Incident Report. Deputies were dispatched to a report of a pit bull biting another dog. A female was walking her dog on a leash in the area of Yale Avenue in Princeton when a pit bull ran up and grabbed her dog and started shaking it. The owner of the pit bull came to secure his dog, which was not on a leash. The injured dog suffered minor injuries. Peninsula Humane Society was informed of the bite.

 

8:25 p.m., Highway 92 at Main: Driving without a license. A driver was cited for driving without a license.

 

March 2

 

2:23 a.m., Highway 1 at Young: Felony warrant. Officers performed a traffic stop on a driver straddling the lane and varying speed between 35 mph and 50 mph. The driver was found to be wanted on a felony warrant out of Santa Cruz County. She was arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail.

 

7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Half Moon Bay High School: Hit and run. Officers responded to a hit and run property damage collision that occurred at the high school. The victim found a note on her windshield from a witness who reported that a black Suburban sideswiped her parked vehicle, causing minor damage. The victim did not wish to seek prosecution but requested identification of the driver for repayment of the damages.

8:27 p.m., 0-100 block of Pear Orchard Way: Misdemeanor warrant. Officers served a woman with two misdemeanor warrants. She was cited and released on her promise to appear in court.

8:45 p.m., 0-100 block of Chamomile Lane: Misdemeanor warrant. Officers served a man with a misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.
