Search Suspended for Missing Paddleboarder

Man went missing on Sunday from Pillar Point Harbor area in Half Moon Bay.

After over 25 hours of last seen on Sunday in the vicinity of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, the Coast Guard has suspended its active search for Rodrigo Ruiz, the agency announced late this afternoon.

In addition to crews from the Coast Guard's Golden Gate and San Francisco stations who covered the air and water, personnel from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office searched the beach and shoreline area, according to the Coast Guard.

The search combined effort covered over than 198 square nautical miles, the agency said.
