On Saturday at 8:10 p.m. a severe traffic alert went into effect on both directions of Highway 84 at Fox Hill Road between Portola Road and Skyline.

All lanes are blocked due to an injury accident, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday and involved a car driving off the road and down a cliff, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes. There is no estimated time of opening.
