Sheriff’s Blotter: Biker Arrested on Suspicion of Carrying Loaded Gun; Cash Drawer Burglar Gets $400

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Nov. 21

10:51 p.m. – Public Intoxication – 1100 block of Main Street, Half Moon Bay - Deputy dispatched to report of male subject who was “blacked out” and did not know where he was. The subject was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and transported to SM County Jail, to be released when sober.

 

Thursday, Nov. 22

3:21 a.m., - Driver in Possession of Alcohol/Possession of False Identification -  200 block of Valencia Avenue, El Granada - Deputy on patrol observed vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerve over fog lines, then quickly back into the lane. The Deputy performed traffic stop and found the driver in possession of a false ID, and appeared to be intoxicated. She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to First Chance.

 

Friday, Nov. 23

10:59 p.m. – Driving with Suspended License - 000 block of Alhambra, El Granada - Driver cited for driving with suspended license.

11:55 p.m. – DUI – Main Street and Highway 1, Half Moon Bay - Deputy dispatched to report of possible intoxicated driver, and located the suspect vehicle, traveling below the speed limit and weaving across double yellow and fog lines. The Deputy performed traffic stop and found the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to First Chance. Arrestee: Moreno, Tzetzangari Age 27 Of SF.

 

Saturday, Nov. 24

2:00 a.m. – Possession of Marijuana - Main Street and Highway 92, Half Moon Bay - Deputy performed traffic stop on vehicle for lighting violation and found the two occupants in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Both were cited and released on their promises to appear in court.

 

6:00 p.m. – Concealed Firearm in Vehicle/Possession of Loaded Firearm - Main Street and Highway 1, Half Moon Bay - Deputy on patrol observed four motorcyclists passing vehicles on the right shoulder of the road, and performed traffic stop. One rider was found to be in possession of a firearm and a loaded magazine. All four were cited for passing on the right shoulder, and one arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and transported to SM County Jail. Arrestee: Braunworth, Raymond Arthur III Age 36 Of SSF.

 

Monday, Nov. 26

6:00 a.m. - Burglary -  400 block of Pine Avenue, Half Moon Bay - Deputies dispatched to report of theft from vehicle, when unknown suspect(s) made entry to a locked vehicle, ransacking the vehicle, taking tools and a BB gun.

11:30 p.m. – Public Intoxication - 2900 block of N. Cabrillo Highway, Half Moon Bay - Deputy dispatched to report of intoxicated subject causing a disturbance at a hotel, and refusing to leave. The subject was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and transported to SM County Jail.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 28

11:30 a.m. – Disobey Court Order – 200 block of Garcia Avenue, Half Moon Bay - Deputy took report of a possible violation of a restraining order, when the protected person advised that the restrained person came to her home in violation of a court order. The case will be forwarded to the DA for review.

 

Thursday, Nov. 29

7:00 a.m. – Burglary - 300 block of Main Street, Half Moon Bay - Deputy took report of commercial burglary, when unknown suspect(s) smashed a window and pried open a cash register, taking $400 in cash.

7:16 p.m. – Information Report - 000 block of N. Cabrillo Highway, Half Moon Bay - Deputy dispatched to report of male subject entering a workout studio, and appeared to be about to go through a woman’s coat when she confronted him and he ran from the building. The man appeared to have been drinking. A report was taken to document the incident.
