Two Local Preschools Burglarized

Thieves pried into schools to steal computer equipment and items of personal value.

Vandals forced their way into two preschools in the Half Moon Bay area sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, stealing computer equipment and several items of personal value, according to Lt. Lisa Williams of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Entry was gained to the in Half Moon Bay through prying open a locked window, while thieves entered Picasso Preschool in El Granada through prying open a locked door.

Both schools were ransacked, according to Williams.

At the Coastside Development Center, stolen items included a computer, a box containing children’s medication and several items of personal value.

Several items of personal value and computer equipment were also stolen from Picasso Preschool.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office asks that the public contact the Sheriff's Office with any information regarding these cases at (650) 363-4066.
