Update: Highway 1 Reopened Following Fatal Crash
The accident was reported at 8:28 a.m. and shut down the highway for three hours.

Both directions of state Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay have reopened following a crash this morning that killed one person and left two others critically injured when a car went off the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash near Pescadero Creek Road was reported at 8:28 a.m. A Sig-alert was issued at 9:03 a.m. when both directions of the highway were shut down between Pescadero Creek Road and state Highway 84 near San Gregorio, according to emergency officials.

The alert was canceled at 11:33 a.m. when the road opened.

One-way traffic control is in effect for a stretch of state Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay following a crash this morning that killed one person and left two others critically injured when a car went off the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash near Pescadero Creek Road was reported at 8:28 a.m. A Sig-alert was issued at 9:03 a.m. when both directions of the highway were shut down between Pescadero Creek Road and state Highway 84 near San Gregorio, according to emergency officials.
As of 11:08 a.m. one-way traffic was put in place. The alert is expected to remain in effect until about noon, according to the CHP. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others in the car suffered serious life-threatening injures, according to the CHP.
