Supervisors Approve Housing, Employment Plan for Disabled Adults

San Mateo County leaders unanimously approved Big Wave permits in a 4-0 vote.

The Big Wave Project made big waves on Tuesday at the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors meeting, which covered the development’s environmental impact report, permits and development agreement.

After hours of appeals, responses and public comments as well as planning staff and county counsel answering questions, Supervisor Don Horsely moved that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors approve the permits for the Big Wave Project, which aims to provide housing and employment for developmentally disabled adults.

The group unanimously approved the project in a 4-0 vote.
