The Coastside Mother’s Club in partnership with the Half Moon Bay Rotary Club began fundraising efforts in March of 2011 to replace the Ocean View Playground structure, located in Half Moon Bay’s Alsace Lorraine neighborhood off Kelly Street. The original structure was nearly two decades old and deemed unsafe last February by inspectors due to rust, uncovered bolts, and spacing concerns in proximity to other equipment.

The CMC solicited input on the design of the playground through a community workshop that was attended by park users, neighbors, families, and children.
