Downtown Design Plan to be Unveiled Tonight

Graduate students worked with city of Half Moon Bay and solicited community input for plan.

As a result of several months of work between city planning graduate students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, the city of Half Moon Bay and the larger community collaborated to develop a Downtown Plan and Design Guidelines. Both will be presented tonight at the .

Based on a community meeting held on April 9 and an online survey (which 317 individuals responded to), residents and city officials contributed to a greater vision of the Half Moon Bay downtown area through articulating what should be preserved, what should be changed, what should be added and areas of improvement. Suggestion and inputs were compiled into the plan and guidelines.

The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. tonight (535 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay). Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
