Meet Your Local Candidates

Here's a look at who's running for office in Half Moon Bay for 2012.

As we look ahead to November’s elections, Half Moon Bay Patch is devoted to bringing you the information you need about every race in town. We'll be giving you a closer look at the candidates who have filed to run for and the Cabrillo Unified School District Governing Board.

In the weeks to come, look for profiles on local candidates so you can get to know them and their campaigns and make an informed decision when it's time to vote in November.

For starters, two of the five seats on Half Moon Bay's City Council are available. Two incumbents, Marina Fraser and John Muller, are running again. Two newcomers, Harvey Rarback and John Ullom, are also running for City Council. We'll have profiles on all four candidates, starting today with Harvey Rarback and John Ullom.

In addition, two seats of the five-member Cabrillo Unified School District Governing Board will be up for election this November. Those seats are currently held by John Moseley and Mario Vazquez.

Mario Vazquez will run again. Michael John Ahern and Charmion Donegan are also vying for a seat. Stay tuned for profiles on these three candidates in the days to come.
