Obama Victory: Southwest RivCo Democrats Celebrate

Local Democrats celebrate a forecast victory for President Barack Obama.

About 50 or 60 Democrats who gathered Tuesday in Murrieta began celebrating a victory for President Barack Obama shortly after 8 p.m.

"I think we won; everyone is extremely happy," said Howard Katz, director of the Democratic Club of Southwest Riverside County's headquarters on Murrieta Hot Springs Road.

On this election day, Obama has so far garnered 303 electoral college votes to Romney's 203, Huffington Post is reporting.

The local Democratic club, which hosted an election night party and potluck, spent the last few hours glued to the television.

"(The energy) was up and then it started going down a little bit when Romney started getting votes and then in the last 10 minutes, it just exploded and everyone was just thrilled," Katz said.

Katz said members of the club have spent the last few months calling local Democrats.

"We've called thousands of voters, making sure voters have the information on the candidates and trying to make sure every Democrat we could talk to was going to the polls...," Katz said.

This is to Balance. I will answer your question as NO. Because I don't know what the heck planet Kolob is. And I will go to church on Sunday and ask anyone if they know what it is or if they subscribe to it (whatever it is) and they will all say no. Wait, Planet Kolobs isn't something inappropriate that will get me in trouble right.

If those of you stupidly believe this great country will go socialist....no one will have a job in 4 years...country going to hell blah blah...put your money where your mouth is and move to Mexico or Canada. Stop whining. And to the idiot that says his phone isn't ringing and somehow Obama's fault? You obviously don't take responsibility . Find ways to MAKE it ring. When did it become OK in this country to vote in a flip flop who blatantly will lie about what he truly believes. It was comical and sad to watch. But I guess when faced with a rick Perry..hermain Cain..bachmann etc..they didn't have much choice.

I think it will be up to President Obama to prove us wrong, lets see if he can improve this economy or his golf game. Oh I don't have to move to Mexico, California's turning into Mexico.
