White House Asks Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Video Stories

Call for videos an effort to raise awareness about issues facing Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders today, as well as to highlight community contributions.

The White House is asking Asian American and Pacific Islanders to submit a video on personal stories that have impacted people in their community.

The effort, called “What’s Your Story” can be a 3-minute music video, public service announcement, short film or video blog that discusses important issues facing the Asian American community. Essays under 1,000 words will also be accepted.

Entries should be submitted online by Nov. 1.

A select group of entries will be posted on the White House website, and a select group will be asked to attend a White House briefing this fall to share their stories in-person.
