The end of the year can be a bittersweet time for seniors. On one hand, they can't wait to graduate and begin a new chapter in their lives, but on the other hand, there are things they will miss about their time in high school.

We placed the “spotlight” on several seniors and asked them to reflect on their favorite memories of high school in a video. We asked them a bunch of questions including, what are you going to miss the most, how do you feel about your senior year coming to an end, how have you changed since freshman year, and do you have any advice for upcoming seniors.

Half Moon Bay High senior Gabi Sarabia says she's going to miss the assemblies and all of her favorite teachers. Nestor Ruiz says he feels good because he's finally going to graduate. Ian Impink is so happy he'll never have to take the STAR test again, and Luis Vasquez says he's changed a lot since freshman year now that he's a lot taller, can drive and has more friends.

"Don't ditch," "don't take a sixth period class" and "don't fall asleep in class — ever" was some of the advice given by seniors Monica Meza, Mikey Rodriguez and McKenna Hilton.

Hear what else Half Moon Bay High seniors have to say about leaving high school and starting a new chapter in their lives. Watch the video here.
