New Principal hired at Farallone View Elementary School

The former second grade teacher has a strong background in literacy.


When school starts at the end of the month, Farallone View Elementary School will have a new principal. Joy Dardenelle has been selected for the position.

Dardenelle was a second grade teacher at Alvin S. Hatch Elementary School in Half Moon Bay. She has also served the Cabrillo District as a literacy coordinator.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute to my neighborhood community in the role of Principal at Farallone View Elementary School. I look forward to working closely with the students, staff, and families that make FaralloneView a great school," Dardenelle said.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from the University of San Francisco.

She is fluent in Spanish as well as English.
