PHOTOS: Half Moon Bay Youth Surfers at Mavericks

Cunha and Half Moon Bay High surf teams paddle out with the pros.

On Friday, an upcoming generation of surfers in Half Moon Bay participated in the Mavericks Invitational opening ceremony and paddle out at Mavericks Beach in Princeton.

Initiated five years ago by Marty Phelps and Rocky Raynor, the surf teams at and are run by the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside in Half Moon Bay.
