South Coast Residents Stay Fit in Pescadero with Zumba, CSA Boxes

A Zumba class held twice a week at Pescadero Elementary School provides opportunities for South Coast residents to stay healthy.

Thanks to Zumba classes at twice a week, South Coast residents wishing to have fun and stay fit can do so without having to take the the bus or make the drive into Half Moon Bay.

Offered by South Coast organization , the classes held twice a week are led by Jorge Guzman (Tuesday) and Gabriela Flores (Thursday).

Last Thursday, Flores took the the group through a series of heart-pounding moves that had the class turning, spinning, and shimmying their hips to a Latin beat.

Even the children couldn't resist jumping in to show their stuff.

Exercise is not the only benefit these residents get by stopping by the class: Earlier this year, Puente began a partnership with Loma Mar-based to establish the class as a drop-off place for the farm's weekly CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) boxes.
