Starlight Soiree Saturday, Jan. 26 To Benefit Cabrillo Education Foundation

The 4th annual Starlight Soiree event starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m.

Everyone on the Coast is invited to join the Cabrillo Education Foundation for a night of celebration and fundraising. Enjoy appetizers, drink wine from Loos Family Vineyards and try handcrafted beer from the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at a fundraiser for the Cabrillo Education Foundation.

“We will pick the winner of our fall matching campaign prize and announce our allocation for next year that will help support reading and literacy, science and teacher's programs for our public schools,” said CEF board president Michele Hannegan. “This is very exciting since it’s only our second allocation ever.”

Last year, local schools in the Cabrillo Unified School District received $41,000 in much-needed funds thanks to donations garnered from individual donors and proceeds from the Starlight Soiree benefit event. The funds were distributed proportionally as Immediate Use Funds to each of the district's seven schools based on the student population.
