The Parent Advisory Council is partnering with local dealership
James Ford will donate $20 to the school for every test drive taken between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
“We know that the public schools are struggling to fund basics right now and we want to help,” said Jami Stevens, co-owner of James Ford, Inc.
“This is why we’re excited to raise money for Half Moon Bay High School academics,” Stevens said.
The Parent Advisory Council is looking for 300 test drivers to raise a donation of $6,000.
The funds will go towards academic and enrichment progams at Half Moon Bay High such as tutoring, professional development for teachers, field trips, guest speakers and classroom supplies.
Drivers must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. One eligible driver per household.
The test drive will last for 15- 20 minutes.
Test drivers will be able to take a Ford Explorer, Focus, Fiesta, Edge, F-150 and Mustang out for a spin.
